Do you shoot destination weddings?
Absolutely. In fact some of our most fun and creative weddings were shot in places like The Caribbean, The Florida Keys, California Vineyards, and even The Vatican.
Will there be a second shooter?
Sometimes it is best that we include a second photographer. However, that all depends on the size of the wedding, distance between locations, your needs and of course your budget.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Most likely yes. However, it would be much better to have your scheduled and set months before the day to avoid any unneeded stress and fully enjoy your precious event.
What kind of gear do you use?
At Avida we stress on three musts.
1. Wedding vendors, including photographers, must have a caring, compassionate, happy demeanor when dealing with special once in a lifetime event.
2. All vendors, including photographers, must understand that most of our events cannot be repeated. Therefore, we must be prepared for every possibility, and must be thoroughly educated and very talented to address every unique requirement that come along with private events.
3. Even if we were nice, loving, caring, professional and commited, not having the right equipment is like a 5 star chef without a kitchen. Therefore, we carry state of the art equipment months before it is even out in the market. Regardless, if it is photography equipment, lighting equipment or video equipment, rest assured on the fact that we cannot trust our professionalism with any other equipment but the best.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No. All of our packages, even ones that do not include one of our special albums, will include print rights.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?
I'm Michigan based and yes I love to travel! I traveled all over the U.S. and Europe. If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place.
HOW DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. I'll send you a guide to help you organizing your day, the best moments for the couple photos, the different lights... and it's really exciting for me to receive photos of your dress, shoes, invits...! On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. That's why I decided to photograph non-traditional and laid-back wedding.
